Dalai Lama covered by Spirafix umbrella
Monday 6th July 2015
The team at Spirafix were delighted to see photo's of His Holiness The Dalai Lama being protected from light rain at Glastonbury by a Spirafix umbrella!
The exiled Tibetan spiritual leader visited the festival's Green Fields area to 'promote a message of compassion, non-violence and oneness with humanity'. There was some rain during the time of his visit and festival organisers grabbed the closest umbrella to hand - a Spirafix branded one.
'What an absolute delight' said Sales and Marketing Manager Louise Lewis, 'every company carries out some marketing and raising of brand awareness but you couldn't wish for a better use of your promotional goods. We really were delighted'.
Team member Josh Hyde first noticed the use of the promotional umbrella whilst watching an evening catch up on the BBC. He messaged the team to let them know and calls were made to track down suitable stills.
'It really was a fantastic moment for us all' said Louise.
